Mr. Jack arrived here on Sunday afternoon for a visit and left this morning. We had a great time and packed a lot of action into a few days…
Sunday eve: Yucatan Leones’ game (professional baseball)
Monday (Cinco de Mayo): Lunch & tour at Chichen Itza and swimming in the Ik Kil Cenote
Tuesday: Market, shopping for an authentic Guayabera shirt to go with Mr. Jack’s authentic Aussie hat (has to represent his daughters!) Zoo, Hacienda Teya for an authentic high-end Yucatecan meal.
Wednesday: Dinner on the beach in Progreso and marquesitas with nutella from a cart for dessert.
Thanks for coming Señor Jack! We loved having you. See you in July!

I’ve read all your blog so far, I noticed that you were having problems with the temperatures in February, now that it’s the hot and humid season, what do you think of the temperature? Like I told one of my friends, once it reaches 100ºF who really cares if the high of the day is 104º?
If you start to crave Mexican food like your friend Bun, try Las Jirafas on Montejo and the owners of Platos Rotos are from DF (or is it Puebla?),they are my favorite non-Yucatecan little restaurant.
Something different to eat when you get tired of salbutes and panuchos.
regards,
Theresa

Looks like great fun. Can’t wait to visit. Did Hannah take the second picture in the ball park? If so, she did a great job!

How original! Jack watching baseball! Jack eating! How did he survive without the NY Times?

Loved the pictures, especially the one of the girls across the top of the page. You certainly showed “pops” a great time. He loooked like he was really in his element. Joa and I are going on safari to Kenya in June. Sure wish that Mr Jack could be our bush guide as he was 25 years ago! Just think, you and Bun weren’t much older than your girls are now.
